Millstone Township, New Jersey
A fully custom township website designed to pair a strong visual presence with fast, predictable access to public services.
A fully custom township site needed character without hiding the useful stuff.
I went into Millstone planning for two things at once: a stronger visual presence for the township and fast, predictable access to public information. The audience is broad, including older and less technical residents, so I kept navigation, type, contrast and content hierarchy straightforward even while exploring a more distinctive visual direction.

I designed for the messy reality of municipal content, not perfect placeholder copy.
I built the UX/UI and responsive system around scannable information, familiar service pathways and layouts that could survive long titles, notices, documents and changing content. Accessibility and ease of use took priority over decorative interaction, and I worked through implementation questions with the team rather than treating handoff as the end of the design.
The design made the full journey from concept to a live public website.
Seeing Millstone operate with real content was the final test of the system. It reinforced how important it is to think beyond the polished Figma state: a municipal design is only successful if it keeps working after editors, documents and real residents arrive.
